“Don’t seek for everything to happen as you wish, but rather wish that everything happens as it actually will, then your life will flow well.” – Epictetus
When you’re in a peaceful moment, love it. When you’re in a challenging moment, love it. Sometimes, we are building upward, other times we are cutting the stone to prepare for that upward build. We can see challenging moments as an obstacle to good times. Or, we can see them as good times themselves. All times are good times if we so choose. They are either pleasurable and rejuvenating or shaping us toward growth. A moment of frustration is an opportunity for self-control. A moment of distraction is an opportunity for discipline. Be grateful for times of rest and toil, and remember how temporary they both are.
