“What then can pollute and clog the mind’s proper functioning? Nothing but its own corrupt decisions.” – Seneca
The decisions we make determine the quality of our lives. When we decide, we have cut ourselves off from other options. When we make a poor decision, we have cut ourselves off from being our best selves. We have taken in an irrevocable step. That does not mean that we cannot take steps back in the right direction, but it does not undo that decision. Therefore, we should constantly be clear about our decisions. They have more power over us than anything else. However, we have power over them too. We should exercise that power.
