Weekly Wrap Up 9/6/19

So I have to start with this qualifier. In case you haven’t deduced, I’m a huge Tim Ferriss fan. My two desert island books are the Bible and the Four Hour Workweek. So, this is in the vain of Tim Ferriss’s Five Bullet Friday. It’s a short list, 4-6 points, of cool things I found during the week. However, it will likely be slightly less esoteric. So, without further ado, weekly wrap up numero uno! Enjoy.

  1. App I’m enjoying: WeCroak sends you notifications 5 times a day reminding you of your mortality. It sounds unnerving, but that perspective reminds you not to sweat the small stuff and make the best of every moment.
  2. My new favorite gadget:Therapist’s choice spiky massage balls. Rolling out your body before bed or in the morning makes a surprising difference.
  3. My old favorite gadget: my good old Sony Dream Machine alarm clock. I had used my phone as an alarm for most of the last few years. The problem with that is when your phone wakes you up, it makes it a lot easier to start checking the other stuff when you go to turn your alarm off. This old school radio alarm makes it so I don’t have to check my phone, I just hop out of bed, have a nice quiet morning and I’m ready for the day.
  4. Cause you should check out: The Rocky Mountain Wolf Action Fund (https://www.wolfactionfund.com). It’s an effort to reintroduce the grey wolf to Colorado. This is an opportunity to revitalize a species, if you live in Colorado, please check it out and sign the petition to at least get the measure on the ballot if you’re so inclined.
